Round One of the Class 2-1A Regional Softball Tournament kicks off today @ the Dexter Sports Complex! Tournament starts at 3pm, but the Spartans won't play until Game #3 around 6pm vs the winners of the play-in game. Good luck ladies!
On Saturday, April 6th, Dexter Soloists traveled to Butler County Community College for KSHSAA Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival. Lorelai Strausberg (Voice), Xander Overbey (Trombone), and Jesyn Vogele (Xylophone) all received I ratings at the event, qualifying them to attend State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Hesston College on April 27th. Julian Moore (Euphonium) received a II rating and also functioned as the accompanist for all of the solos in attendance. At State Solo and Ensemble, Xander Overbey received a II rating for his trombone solo with Lorelai Strausberg and Jesyn Vogel earning I ratings at the event. Great job, soloists! 🎶
Last week, the junior and senior girls got to take a tactical maneuver class taught by Teresa Heilevang of Down Range Civilian Defense. The girls got a chance to practice and gained some great knowledge! How awesome is that?! 💪
