This week, in 5th grade, students have been discussing how people overcome obstacles.Today, Robbie Nichols visited our 5th grade classroom to share with our class about how he reads and writes as a person who is blind. He shared how the Braille system works and even had the kids make a “human Braille cell” to make the alphabet. We learned so much and loved having him visit and share worth our class!

A huge shout out to the Dexter Jr/Sr High School Band for receiving the highest rating of 1 at State Band Festival on April 11th. These students worked their tails off to prepare for this and improved leaps and bounds from their rating of 2 at SCBL Music Festival in early March. Celebrate your efforts. They were well worth it!
