Captain "Magic" Valentino Willis brought his anti-drug and anti-violence message to students in Dexter on Monday, April 30, 2018.  Willis delivered a humorous, but important message to Dexter students on drugs, alcohol, violence, respect, and anti-bullying.  Willis recalled the story of the late Len Bias, who in 1986 was drafted in the first round by the Boston Celtics.  two days later, Bias died of a drug overdose.

Willis was originally drafted by the New Jersey Nets, before finding his forte in comedy basketball, entertaining fans across the country for decades with the Harlem Globetrotters.  In addition to basketball, Willis has appeared in movies "The Wiz" with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, and 'For Heaven's Sake" with Ray Bolger and Kent McCall.  Willis also has appeared in TV commercials for Pepsi-Cola and National rental Car.
