This Week’s Activities

SPRING BREAK 3/13-3/22

Students: At this time, due to the corona virus outbreak, the cancellation of one of the events we were going to attend, and the possibility of others being cancelled, we are postponing the incentive trip. We will try to reschedule for dates later this year, if we cannot, we will refund your deposits.

Juniors:  Class meeting during ELP TODAY for those that are helping with picking out prom decorations.

High School Basketball Girls need to wash and return their practice gear, home and away jerseys, home and away warm up tops, and their black travel gear. Check your email to make sure you have turned in everything on the checklist. THIS MUST BE DONE BY THE END OF THE DAY.

Prom RSVP card due by the end of lunch TODAY

The high school SCBL math contest is March 31st at Flinthills. Please sign up in Mrs. Young's room today if you want to be included in test assignments!

Juniors:  We are able to nominate two students for this summer's fifteenth annual Robert J. Dole Civic Leadership Seminar on KU's campus July 8-10.  Nominated students will be in a statewide pool and 65 will be selected to attend. Requirements include being an above average student, grade wise, and a history of leadership and extra-curricular activities.  Housing and meals provided in residential campus housing.  Students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the campus. This is the 15th year of the leadership program that's designed to encourage public service. Program consists of speakers, outings, workshops and a visit to the state capitol in Topeka to meet with legislators.  Dexter's deadline is Monday, March 30. Our deadline includes turning in application form so that we have time to do the nomination packet to meet their April 6 deadline. If there are more than two interested here then we will have a selection process.   Side note:  As next year's seniors, to be competitive for scholarships from some universities and area wide donors, having honors and things such as this to put on your application helps.

Sign up now for the Blood Drive!  All donors will receive a $5 Amazon gift card and will be eligible for a $50 Visa card.  Athletes – please take the morning slots!

Students: If you have headphones from MRS. A’s Room…. RETURN THEM NOW.  Thanks! 😊

Mrs. Young will be staying late TODAY, for those wanting to rent a tux from the Howard store. Please let her know ahead of time if you want to be included. She plans to stay after school 'til 7PM.
